What you’ll need
Account and Subscription
This course requires Apple Business Essentials. You must sign up your organization and create an initial administrator account. Before you sign up, make sure that your organization meets the requirements and you gather the necessary information.
Hardware and Software
This course requires a Mac with macOS 14 or later or an iPhone with iOS 17 or later or an iPad with iPadOS 17 or later that can be used to configure and test with Apple Business Essentials.
IMPORTANT: The steps in this course may change the way a device works, including erasing the device. To avoid data corruption or loss, this course requires test devices. Don’t use your own or another user’s primary device.

Setting Up Your Organization
Learn about the key features and navigation of Apple Business Essentials.
Setting Up a Subscription
Choose and manage plans for your organization and set up your subscription. View and manage your subscription payment method and other billing documents.
Adding Users and Devices
Add users and create user groups. Learn about the three methods to enroll devices.
Buying Content
Buy and manage app licenses. Create and update app packages for macOS, and assign apps and packages to your organization’s devices or users.
Configuring Settings and Collections
Identify and configure device settings. Also, create, manage, and apply Collections to devices or users.
Using the Essentials App
Use the Essentials app to view and install apps, or view your managed devices.
Using AppleCare+ for Business Essentials
Learn about repair credits and repair requests. Use the Apple Support app to schedule service for your devices.
Securing and Reprovisioning Devices
Issue commands to protect lost or stolen devices.
